Wp 11725 Seminar IJS inteligencna revolucija 24 10 2024

The intelligent revolution has begun. Knowing how to use artificial intelligence systems to change business is key. The skilful will survive and flourish, but the rest will …

Content of the seminar:

  • At the seminar, we will learn more about the structure and operation of transformers, as well as model upgrades such as RAG and fine-tuning.
  • We will also take a look at word embeddings and how words are converted to numeric vectors, with algorithms such as Word2vec.
  • We will test the performance of the latest and most commercially successful large language models (LLM), such as GPT-4, Mini, and o1, using practical examples. We will also introduce open source large language models such as Llama 3.

24 October 2024, 14.00-17-00, online (MS Teams)

Lectures and specific exercises/seminars will be conducted by a group led by prof. dr. Matjaž Gams from the “Jožef Stefan” Institute, with 50 years of artificial intelligence (AI) practice and 20 years of research advanced or super-AI and 200 projects in this part of Europe. In the last year, the group gave a lecture directly to 2,000 participants. Transfers into practice in the field of AI are particularly important, i.e. they have a lot of concrete experience even from times when AI was not as successful as today.
