We invite you to the professional-educational seminar Demystifying Blockchain Technology. Participants will learn about the possibilities of using blockchain technology and the advantages of its implementation in business, especially for business upgrade and optimization.

Objectives of the seminar:

  • Present the basic concepts of the blockchain technology (e.g. distributed data storage, decentralized networks, smart contracts, etc.);
  • Introduce supporting frameworks, tools, and techniques;
  • Introduce related concepts (e.g. NFT, Web3);
  • Present examples and good practices of using blockchain technology as a business supporting tool.

The seminar will be led by dr. Muhamed Turkanović, an associate professor with over 10 years of international experience in the industry. He has been working at the University of Maribor full-time since 2017, teaching courses related to data technology and information security. Dr. Turkanović is also the founder and head of Blockchain Lab:UM within the Institute of Informatics, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (FERI) of the University of Maribor.
