On Monday, 11 November 2024, a training seminar on Demystifying Internet of Things in Manufacturing: Modern Digital Solutions and Artificial Intelligence was held. The keynote speaker was Dr. Robert Ojsteršek, a lecturer in production technology and systems in Laboratory for production and operations management and Laboratory for discrete system simulation at the Faculty of mechanical engineering of the University of Maribor
Dr. Ojsteršek presented the basic concepts of the systems that are the foundation for the operation of IoT in production (SCADA, MES, ERP). Participants learned how IoT and other modern digital solutions supported by artificial intelligence can contribute to optimizing production, improving control, and increasing productivity. The seminar was very interactive and included many practical examples.
