As part of the EDIH DIGI-SI and DIH AGRIFOOD project, we are organizing the DemoFarm TechHack: Hackathon for successful application to the GUARDIANS call.

This is an intensive hackathon aimed at empowering solution providers to independently prepare and submit quality applications to the GUARDIANS call. This event combines targeted workshops, mentoring support and access to resources, with the aim of increasing the participants’ chances of success in obtaining funding for innovative projects in the field of agrifood and sustainability.

Objective:

To empower solution providers to independently prepare quality and competitive applications to the GUARDIANS call through mentoring support, targeted workshops and access to resources.

Event timeline and key phases:

Phase 1: Financial Clinic (June 11, 2025)

Starting with a presentation of the GUARDIANS call, where participants learn about all the important parts of the application form, evaluation criteria and key requirements (TRLevel, sustainability, ethics). The workshop will also include presentations of DIH AGRIFOOD applications and solution providers and a discussion of the most common challenges in preparing an application.

Phase 2: Application, connection and networking (June 12-18, 2025)

Providers fill out a detailed questionnaire that helps them define solutions and needs and facilitates connection with relevant demo farms.

Phase 3: Individual mentoring and application work (June 19-July 5, 2025)

Mentors from DIH AGRIFOOD are available for individual consultations via email and video calls, where they help with the development of business models, technical solutions, sustainability and a financial plan.

Phase 4: Submission of draft applications (by July 5, 2025)

Proposers submit drafts and improved ideas for review and recommendations by mentors.

Phase 5: Feedback (July 7-9, 2025)

Mentors review drafts, provide feedback, and help resolve any challenges.

Phase 6: Finalization and submission of applications (July 10-15, 2025)

Proposers finalize and submit their applications independently with the help of mentors.

Phase 7: Announcement of innovative solutions at the AGRA fair (August 23-28, 2025)

Proposers and Demo farms will be invited to the DIH AGRIFOOD booth at the AGRA fair, where they will have the opportunity to present innovative solutions.

Conclusion:

We invite all solution providers to take advantage of this comprehensive support process to help them prepare successful applications and increase their chances of obtaining funding from the GUARDIANS call. Participate and become part of an innovative ecosystem that promotes sustainable and technologically advanced solutions in the agrifood sector!
