Description
We offer simulations at the University of Maribor Medical Simulation Center. The center is also part of the HPS – an automated simulator, primarily intended for training in emergency situations, anesthesia, and trauma. The simulator enables respiratory gas exchange, induction and maintenance of anesthesia, and patient monitoring with real clinical devices. HPS has a unique mathematical engineering model of human physiology, including cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and pharmacological components. Both uncomplicated clinical skills and sophisticated pathology scenarios in internal medicine, resuscitation procedures, anesthesia, cardiology, neurology, trauma, and pharmacology can be taught at HPS. The simulation center also has several specialized simulators for endoscopic procedures in the fields of gastroenterology and pulmonology, cardiology, radiology, laparoscopic surgery, laparoscopic gynecology, and obstetrics.
