EU Funding Clinic: EU Funding Opportunities in the Field of Collaborative Robotics

At the event, the upcoming EU cascade call AMALTEA will be presented. The call, launching in mid-August 2025, will open numerous opportunities for SMEs and start-up companies that are deep tech firms, AI-driven companies, technology providers for the construction sector or similar industries, innovators in the fields of digital twins and robotics, and companies active in smart buildings, digital twins, robotics, automation, computer vision, BIM, data standardization, sensor integration, human-machine interfaces, etc.

The aim of AMALTEA is to technologically support the value chain of glass curtain wall modules—from design, through fabrication and installation, all the way to disassembly from buildings and panel recycling.

The AMALTEA Open Call in August 2025 will address the following challenges:

• Challenge 1: Integrated data storage and standardization for digital systems within the curtain wall module value chain
• Challenge 2: Generator of parametric solutions for AI training
• Challenge 3: Web-based graphical interface for design decisions with platform-independent accessibility
• Challenge 4: Advanced control and monitoring systems for quality assessment in robotic manufacturing
• Challenge 5: Flexible manufacturing and quality control
• Challenge 6: Advanced sensor integration for collision detection and accurate positioning in mobile robotic navigation for construction operations
• Challenge 7: Robot platform positioning and navigation with collision and disturbance detection
• Challenge 8: Life-cycle and cost assessment in the curtain wall module value chain
