EU Finance Clinic: EU Funding Opportunities in the Field of Collaborative Robotics

The event will present the upcoming EU cascade funding call FORTIS Open Call #1, which on 17 November 2025 opened numerous opportunities for SMEs, start-ups, universities, and research institutions developing breakthrough solutions in collaborative robotics, AI-driven automation, and digital twin technologies. Organisations seeking funding to prototype, test, and scale their Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) technologies are also invited.

The funding scheme offers up to €250,000 per project, with a maximum of €200,000 per participating entity. The call covers up to 100% of costs for non-profit organisations and up to 70% of costs for companies.

Selected projects will receive technical mentoring and support in regulatory compliance and implementation, the opportunity to test their solutions in collaboration with FORTIS partners, networking with industry and increased visibility, as well as assistance in preparing a roadmap for scaling impact and entering the market.

The thematic areas of the call include human activity recognition (with or without wearable sensors), long-term memory and mechanisms of learning and forgetting, enhancing robot intelligibility through audio and visual effects, and multimodal semantic segmentation and perception.

The call supports advanced solutions that accelerate the transition toward intelligent and human-centric manufacturing. More information will be provided at the event.
