We invite you to join the two-day workshop “Smart and Sustainable Solutions in Agriculture: From Theory to Practice,” where you will explore digital technologies as key components of sustainable agricultural development.
Day One (March 5, 2025): The workshop will be part of the 3rd conference, “Health in Our Hands,” held in the Duša Škof Hall, Murska Sobota Castle. The workshop will be led by Dr. Saša Štraus, who will highlight theoretical aspects of smart agricultural solutions, including the use of IoT sensors, drones, and digital platforms for optimizing agriculture. A significant enrichment of the event will be the presence of Minister Mateja Čalušić, who will address the future of agriculture and the role of the Common Agricultural Policy in shaping Slovenia’s countryside in her introductory speech. This rich accompanying program offers opportunities for discussions with industry experts and networking among participants.
Day Two (April 17, 2025): The workshop will transition from theory to practice at the DIH AGRIFOOD Demo event, held at the DEMO farm Cigüt. Participants will have the opportunity to observe how the technologies discussed on the first day are applied in agriculture to enhance efficiency, optimize resources, and promote sustainable food production.
This event is designed for those seeking an in-depth understanding and practical experience with the use of digital technologies in agriculture, striving for a green future in farming.
