ROLE IN DIGI-SI

DIH Healthday.si is specialized in the field of digital transformation of health-related activities. The DIH brings together health-tech SMEs, health research institutes, hospitals, public administrations competent in the field of health, together with digital enablers that can help develop solutions and bring new solutions and devices to the market to address health problems. These partners bring technical expertise on how digital technologies can help improve the process of diagnosing and treating diseases. DIH Healthday.si is also part of the DIH Health Corridor, building transnational collaboration with DIH partners from France, Hungary, Romania, Greece, and Spain.

There are more than 80 Slovene companies registered in the HealthDay.si database of innovations and digital solutions for the health sector. The community partners are collaborating on the annual Healthday.si conference and several digital health awareness building campaigns and workshops open to all stakeholders (TelCoDoc project, ACSELL Interreg Europe …). HealthDay.si is also the Slovenia chapter partner of Health 2.0 and the Slovenian partner of ECHAlliance. In 2021, TPLJ, in collaboration with Ljubljana University Incubator, launched a healthcare specific accelerator program, named Health.Tech.Growth, which focuses specifically on acceleration healthcare-based start-ups, offering them dedicated workshops, mentoring services, and networking opportunities. The service is running under the auspices of the Slovenian Entrepreneurship Fund. Healthtech accelerators and innovation ecosystems specialized in healthcare and wellbeing are the vital place for entrepreneurs, start-ups and SMEs to provide them with the support, skills and services they need to get their ideas off the ground and into the market, shorten their time-to-market for life-changing products and services, while creating new jobs and contributing to a thriving health economy.

Technology park Ljubljana

Technology Park Ljubljana (TPLJ) is a leading national player in the development of innovative and knowledge-based entrepreneurship in Slovenia. TPLJ is an innovative technology community of more than 300 companies that brings together entrepreneurs, innovators, and researchers. TPLJ has more than 25 years of experience in project management, ranging from national to international projects, collaboration, and co-design of innovation ecosystems. Its main task is improving the entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem in Slovenia, supporting spin-offs, start-ups, and scale ups in their growth through coaching, mentoring, and monitoring in the areas of product development, finance, talent activation as well as innovation financing, technology transfer, sustainable development, acceleration services, and transnational cooperation.

TPLJ is one of the initiators and the lead coordinator of HealthDay.si community (since 2014), connecting health and care stakeholders from Slovenia working towards an innovation friendly ecosystem. Based on identified ecosystem needs, TPLJ established DIH Healthday.si in 2019 with its mission to support SMEs in

their digital transformation as well as enhance their role as agents of transformation of the whole Slovenian health and care system. Healthday.si community consists of more than 1300 individuals (working in healthcare, biotech, pharma, and health-tech).
