Financial Clinic: “Opportunities in Drone Technologies and Innovations in Agriculture – SPADE Open Call”
Join us for the online workshop Financial Clinic: “Opportunities in Drone Technologies and Innovations in Agriculture – SPADE Open Call”, which will take place on Wednesday, 7 May 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM (CET).
If you are interested in the SPADE open call and opportunities for development and innovation in agriculture (forestry, livestock farming, and crop production), we encourage you to join us for this financial clinic. The SPADE project is launching its second open call (OpenCall#2) with a total budget of €525,000, which will be allocated to project proposals in the areas listed below.
The strategic goal of the SPADE project and the open call is to develop an intelligent ecosystem for the multi-purpose use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs, i.e., drones) to foster sustainable digital services for a wide range of end users in the sectors of agriculture, forestry, and livestock.
The multi-purpose use will be enabled by data reuse within a sensor data space, leveraging AI (Artificial Intelligence) and ML (Machine Learning) models. These models will ensure the sustainability and resilience of the entire service lifecycle, covering development, deployment, provisioning, execution, testing, validation, refinement, and enhancement of digital transformation and innovation services in agriculture.
Objectives:
- Develop an efficient solution that enables multiple drones to operate in coordination for area mapping using LiDAR technology.
- Develop a drone with 360-degree movement using tilted rotors and open-source solutions.
- Develop an open-source solution running on AWS (Amazon Web Services) to process photogrammetric data and generate orthophotos of varying resolutions.
The Financial Clinic will be held online and participants will have the opportunity to join the discussion.
